5 Ways To Feel Good About Life

5 Ways to Feel Good About Life

In this world full of evil, is goodness missing? When things are not doing great, how are you to cope up with it? Life is not easy; it’s a reality one must understand. It is when we start to embrace this truth that we can learn to adapt and enjoy life. Yes, we can have joy in living. If you think you’re lost right now and everything seems to be just cruel, take heart because there’s more to life than sorrow.
I have listed here a few ways you can feel good about life. I hope each of these will help you realize the worth of your existence.
1. Know that your life has a purpose.

This is very basic but often disregarded. You wake up in the morning, do your daily routine, you go home then sleep. Come next day and you repeatedly do what you do. One day you got fed up and you started asking why? Why you do these things? Surely you should have a reason, a purpose perhaps. Fyodor Dostoyevsky, a Russian novelist, journalist, and short-story writer once said that, “The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.”

2. Live in the present.

Many of us are either prisoners of our dark past or slaves of the future. Live in the present, for it is how life should be. Louis E. Boone, a United States academic author whose works covered contemporary business and economics once said that, “The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.”

3. Happiness is free.

While many would not agree and say nothing is free, there are actually sources of abundant joy offered for free. When you watch nature’s wonders, it reminds you of the beauty of surroundings. Come on, go out and see the other side of the world. Find delight in doing different activities like watching movies, playing with kids, reading a book, and much more! Stephen Chbosky, an American novelist, screenwriter, and film director best known for writing The New York Times bestselling coming-of-age novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower said that, “There’s nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard. Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons.”

4. Life is swimming with the current.

Have an attitude of the uncomplaining. Things don’t always work out as plan and life isn’t perfect. You have to deal with it and sometimes the best way to do it is by swimming with the current. Maya Angelou, an American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist said, “What you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Don’t complain.”

5. You are important.

You are not worthless. You are high-valued. Many people are wondering where the flowers in the garden are, yet they spend all their effort planting weeds. Same with life, instil in your mind that you are a significant person and that you are needed. You have a role in beautifying the garden by planting flowers and removing the weeds. Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known by his pen name Mark Twain, an American writer once said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

WHAT MOTHERHOOD TAUGHT ME THAT MADE ME A BETTER INDIVIDUAL

To all mothers in every circumstance, including those who struggle- and all will- I say “Be peaceful. Believe in God and yourself. You are doing better than you think you are.” -Jeffrey Holland I grew up in an environment where women are empowered. My mom single-handedly raised us when my father died. I was only 6 that time, my younger brother at 4. Life was hard but I didn’t know that because my mother was able to conceal the ugly side of life. Fast forward to present and I am now a mother myself. My daughter will be turning 3 this May and so far, I’m still able to cope up with the hustle and bustle of motherhood. Wow! Life’s pretty amazing and chaotic with a toddler. Being a millennial mom, these are the things that I’ve learned and experienced that I want to share with you. If you are a mother yourself, I know you can relate with these. If you are expecting or planning to have kids in the future, these might give you an idea of what awaits you. #1. A baby i...

BDO Junior Savers Account ALERT!!!

As parents, we always want the best for our children. It’s their welfare that is our top most priority. We want to give them an improved life and a secured future. What better way to start or continue this dream is through savings. This is my desire to my daughter, to teach her early the importance of financial discipline. I want her to grow up knowing how to manage her resources especially on money. I was browsing my feed when I came across this advertisement from BDO Unibank. It offers a Junior Savers Account that you can open for as low as 100 Php. I got curious, opened the link and read further. I told my husband about it and he said maybe I should visit the bank one of these days. I remember telling him I will sure go and inquire myself about it. When I was a kid, my mom also opened a bank account for me similar to the Junior Savers. However, the bank closed, and I don’t know if my mom ever thought about checking the account. Or maybe she was able to withdraw the money...

PRODUCT REVIEW: CREAM SILK DRY RESCUE

I was not into hair conditioners. I can live without it as long as I wash my hair with shampoo. Shampooing removes dirt and oil, leaving hair squeaky clean. However, it can also make your strands dry. I’ve been using organic shampoo for months and I noticed that my chemically-treated hair was becoming parched and frizzy. I don’t blame the organic shampoo though. Any shampoo can really make your hair dry.   I felt the need to use conditioners. Weeks ago, while I was searching for the best fit for my hair, I came across Sample Room’s website that offers free samples of different hair care products. I opted to try Cream Silk since it’s one of the most popular hair care products in the Philippines when it comes to conditioners. Last week, I got my free samples and tried it immediately. Brand: Cream Silk Dry Rescue Hair Reborn Conditioner The label claims it has customized solutions designed for Filipinas which got me because some products work differently to different ra...
