BDO Junior Savers Account ALERT!!!

As parents, we always want the best for our children. It’s their welfare that is our top most priority. We want to give them an improved life and a secured future. What better way to start or continue this dream is through savings. This is my desire to my daughter, to teach her early the importance of financial discipline. I want her to grow up knowing how to manage her resources especially on money. I was browsing my feed when I came across this advertisement from BDO Unibank. It offers a Junior Savers Account that you can open for as low as 100 Php. I got curious, opened the link and read further. I told my husband about it and he said maybe I should visit the bank one of these days. I remember telling him I will sure go and inquire myself about it. When I was a kid, my mom also opened a bank account for me similar to the Junior Savers. However, the bank closed, and I don’t know if my mom ever thought about checking the account. Or maybe she was able to withdraw the money...

WHY THE RIGHT TIME IS NOW AND NOT TOMORROW

I was updating my page and looking at older posts when I came across a post I made way back February this year. At that time, I was already on the process of finalizing my decision to leave the company I loved dearly. I was at that point in life where I was at my weakest. I was exhausted, and I was no longer happy. Looking back, I realized I did the right decision. Indeed, you just have to take a leap of faith and trust God. Sharing here my original post dated February 21, 2018. *** WHY THE RIGHT TIME IS NOW AND NOT TOMORROW Are you in a situation where in you feel like you are not where you want to be? Do you feel like wanting to move out and try something new? What are your thoughts? What keeps you from making the first step? What God is telling or teaching you right now? Pray. The right time is now and not tomorrow. Take a leap of faith. Trust that the Lord will make the path clear for you. Trust and obey. Don’t think of your limitations, you’ve got yourself a ...

Feeling down and alone? Remember that you always have God. You can always call upon Him. He will rescue you. You are not lost. He is your salvation. Always trust in Him and His ways. There might be things you don't understand at the moment, but God is bigger than your biggest worries. Do not be afraid. Instead, call upon His name in prayer and submit your life to Him.  Take heart. God is in control. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. There is hope. You are not forgotten.

Product Review: Physiogel Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser

Taking care of our skin especially our face is essential. Wearing make-up can enhance your physical beauty but if you don’t take good care of your face, you’re most likely to age faster. I was not into skin care before, if I clean my face with soap and water, it’s good to go already. However, I realized that it’s better to have a good skin care routine and not have make-up on your face than wearing make- up daily without proper skin care management. Today, I am going to share to you a product review on one of my favorite cleanser/make-up removers. Been using this for nine months already and I like the effect on my face. Of course, I use other skin products so the over-all result on my face is not solely exclusive to this product I am giving a review. This post is not sponsored, and I am writing this out of my own willingness because I really like the product. This could help other women and men in their decision before trying one. The product: Physiogel Hypoallergenic Calming...

SAHM Depression is Real

I am a queen and I am stronger than depression. Motherhood is tough. Challenging. Life-changing. But motherhood is a role I gladly embraced as a woman. I love being a mom since day one. However, there are days that I don't get to be the best version of myself and at times I just see 'me' staring blankly with so many things going on in my mind. I used to work in the field and traveling to different cities was my norm. When I decided to be a SAHM, I got ecstatic at first. Months passed by and I was like, oh no! I'm getting crazy. I needed to go out otherwise I would lose myself. That's when I did a rebirth of my personal blog. The creation of Mga Kwento ni Nanay became my outlet. I spent days organizing my thoughts as to what I want to happen with my blog and how I could potentially reach other Filipino moms to share their joys and struggles as mothers. I have an online side job at night but during the day I often find myself surprisingly sad and...

Why I Cook My Own Food and Why You Should Too

I used to be a fast food type of eater. Because of the kind of job that I had before, I would rather eat outside than cook my own food simply because it's convenient. Now that I'm a SAHM, I prefer cooking food for my family. This is a blog post about why you should cook your own food rather than buying outside. 1. It's way cost-effective Go to the groceries or to the local public market and you'd be amazed with the variety of ingredients you can buy at a lesser price. You get both the quantity and quality you are looking for. I remember one time I complained about how expensive the serving in one restaurant when I can have a bigger and cheaper serving if I'd cook at home. Well, you don't just pay for the food but also pay for the place, the resto's name, and the convenience of not having to prepare the meals. 2. It's healthier Think about the amount of junk food you are ingesting when you eat at some fast food chains. The foods are prepared...

THE STAY-AT-HOME MOM AND THE WORK-AWAY-FROM-HOME MOM

“You’re always going to wonder if you’re doing things wrong, but that’s what it means to be a mom, to care so much about someone else that you just want to be as perfect as possible.” — Naya Rivera My previous post talks about my transition from being a corporate worker to a stay-at-home mom. This time I will share about the pros and cons of both working and the SAHM. This article does not intend to make anyone think less of herself but rather to open our eyes to the beauty of motherhood and how it changes a woman to be the best version of herself. I always believe in woman empowerment and having equal rights as men. I was raised by an alpha-female woman who became a great influencer to my life. My mother single-handedly raised us when my father died, and she was only 32 then. A mom of two with no work experience braced herself to another chapter of being a full-time career woman. She juggled working from a government office to doing small business on the side. You can never real...

FROM CORPORATE TO STAY-AT-HOME-MOM: HOW TO COPE UP WITH THE TRANSITION

Sometimes the strength of motherhood is greater than natural laws. -Barbara Kingsolver I was a Medical Sales Representative in a Multi-National company for six years when I finally decided to leave the corporate world. I was at that point in my life where I felt I was no longer fulfilled as an individual. I loved my job, the company, and the people that I had worked with, but I felt something was missing. I was also having problems with our babysitter that when she brought her boyfriend in our house without asking permission it made my decision to resign even stronger. I felt like missing a lot of moments with my daughter when I should be the one spending more time with her that she’s still a toddler. I prayed and asked help from my spiritual mentors and to my husband who supported me all the way. It was a leap of faith, having a little savings and the fear of what will happen next. I was filled with fear before I resigned. I was not sure of how things would turn out. Indeed,...
